What Causes Hard Red Bump That Itches?

last night at a football game i had pants on and i thought i got bit by a mosquito because i felt a little bump on my leg that itched..This morning i woke up with a red circle that is hard and its hot and itches. Now after a day of it there it is as big of a circle as a baseball, it is really hard and still hot and itches..Im just wondering if i should go to my doctors to get it checked. I am an 18 year old female who weighs 140 pounds.

The possible diagnosis of the condition is papular urticaria or insect bite hypersensitivity. You must use mosquito nets as much as possible. Topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin may be used along with oral antibiotic tablets like azithromycin. You must consult your doctor at the earliest and discuss the above mentioned treatment options.
