What Causes Hard Painful Lump Near The Bikini Line?

I have a very painful lump inside my inner thigh near the bikini line. I at first thought it might be a pimple, but there is no opening on the bump, rather a hard nodule like formation which has become quite sore to sit, go to the bathroom, etc. What could this be? Should I seek medical attention?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi i understand your concens, the problem that you are describing appears to be probably infectious in origin. This is a common presentation of a sexually transmitted disease called chancroid. There is no need to panic it is completely curable if the diagnosis is confirmed. It is better to consult your gynaecologist at the earliest. In case it turns out to be an s.t.d please do make sure that your partner gets checked and treated too.

have a speedy recovery..!
