What Causes Hard, Painful And Round Mass Above Breast At Sternum?

I noticed yesterday that I had a large, hard, somewhat round mass above my right breast at my sternum. I began pressing on it. It did hurt a bit. Eventually, it seemed to slowly go away. I felt a warm feeling of pain while I rubbed it. Today, the area is very tender when I touch it. I do have RA and know that it is not unlikely to get nodules. I am wondering if this was one and if I need to go to my doctor.

I really appreciate your concern, such breast lesion need to be investigated and it should never be taken as granted better to get done some imaging studies, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
