My sister was diagnosed with schizophrenia 2.5 years back reluctant to take medicine. So without her knowledge we were giving her olanex 5 mg as per a psychiatrists instruction. One year back she found out that we are giving her the medicine and she stopped taking it. she was not so bad till 2 months back. But 2 monthsback started hallucinations fear and panic attack . Then she was willing to take medication doctor prescribed olanex 10 mg. She started taking it 2 months now. Her symptoms settled down within 3 weeks and she was looking better till one week back but now she looks depressed. Is it due to the medicine side effect? Do we have to reduce the quantity of medicine ? Pls help. Mrs Thomas varghese
