What Causes Hair Loss While On Amlodipine And Astorvastatin?

One of my medications showed hair loss as a side effect. I don t know if it was Amlodipine or Astorvastatin. Those are the only two prescription pills I take right now. Can you tell me if this is actually a side effect of either of these? Thank you, Charlene Lockman

I hope I have answered your query. Well, amlodipin's side effects may include hair loss which is very rare side effect however and usually seen after long term use. Atorvastatine dont cause it as I know. However, there are much common issues which may lead to hair loss such as thyroid hormonal imbalance, dertmatologic diseases, steroid imbalance or emotional stress so I would not assign this to a amlodipine before these ar excluded.
