What Causes Gurgle And Popping Sensation At Back Of Head Along With Severe Fatigue?

Ive had this sound coming from the back of my head going downwards the last month. It sounds like a gurgle and feels like a fizzle when it happens. Almost as if something is draining a carbonated beverage thru a small tube in the back of my head when i lay down. Its as if the candy rock pops went off in the back of my head towards my neck. Ive been EXTREMELY FATIGUED everyday. I get 9-12 hours of sleep every night. And no matter if its less or more i still feel like an elephant is inside of me. I am 30 yrs old and i feel an actual heaviness on my body everyday.

Hi,

The gurgle and popping sensation at the back of the head, along with severe fatigue, could be indicative of several health conditions. These symptoms could be related to a neurological issue, such as a brain aneurysm or other brain-related condition, particularly if there are other accompanying symptoms such as sensitivity to light, blurred vision, or sudden headache described as "the worst headache of my life."

It could also be related to severe lung problems like bibasilar crackles, which can cause trouble breathing, fever, and fatigue. A sinus infection, which can cause popping sounds and fatigue, may also be possible. It is important to seek medical attention right away to determine the underlying cause of these symptoms. A doctor can perform a physical exam and order any necessary tests to determine the underlying cause of the gurgling and popping sensations, fatigue, and other symptoms.

Treatment will depend on the underlying cause and may include medication, oxygen therapy, or lifestyle changes. If you are experiencing sudden, severe symptoms such as a sudden headache or loss of consciousness, seek emergency medical attention immediately.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
