What Causes Growth Of Facial Hair During Pregnancy?

My daughter is 6 months pregnant and has developed facial hair. It looks like a beard on two patches near her mouth/ chin. She had some facial hair before that was a problem but not as heavy. This looks like a beard and she has to shave. She also had acne and took strong vitamin A drug twice to get rid of acne when she was 18 and 22. She is 36 now. It is her 1st pregnancy.

Hi,

As she is pregnant, do not give vitamin A, avoid hormonal drugs. Ask her to avoid oily makeup and fatty foods. Gentle cleaning of the face is advised.
