What Causes Green Stools And Canker Sores On Gums Of An Infant While On Formula?

my baby girl just turn 6 months last sept. 29 and i change her milk from nan optopro 1 to bonnamil. its been 3 days now and she poos 10x or more a day. the stool looks better than before because in nan its greenish and watery now yellowish. ans she also has diaper rashes and canker sore in her gums and tongue. shes still active, drinks 700ml of milk a day. eats her cereal everythings good on her except her poos. please help what should i do, should go back to nan or change other milk. than you

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your baby have symptoms of green stools and canker sores on gums while on formula which seems to be due to acute watery diarrhea and excessive acid production due to vomiting bilious in mouth. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to give child ORS solution to rehydrate. Maintain hygiene of child. Apply wet cloth on gums and keep them clean after everything you feed. Visit pediatrician once and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. Give child zinc supplements as well.
