What Causes Green Stool Movement In An Infant?

My son is 22 months old. has acid reflux and milk protein allergy. So yesterday he passed grey/green poop after not pooping for a few days. Then today he vomited food that he ate yesterday that didn tlook digested. I am not sure what is wrong or if I should bring him in to the ER. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your son can be related to a gastrointestinal infection.

I suggest giving your child a daily probiotics.

I also suggest to give him a plain diet and a lot of liquids.

I recommend doing a stool test to exclude the possibility of a bacterial infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
