What Causes Grayish Color Clot During Periods?

Hello, I started my period yesterday evening & it stopped at night and began again this morning with cramps. The period is not as heavy. But a while ago I felt something big come down. I went to the restroom and as I pull my underwear a down I see a big tissue clot sitting on my pad. it was a tan grayish color & it s about a singer long or a little longer & it s pretty hard. This is the first time I experience this. Can I get an explanation of what this could be ?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this is happening some time and this is happening because of hormone changes and no need to worry about this, this may be due to retained of blood or say collected blood in either case this is nothing to worry, but of course this should not be happen on and often, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
