What Causes Graying And Pain In Bald Patch On Head?

the skin on my husbands head has turned grey. it had started greying about a year back and now the patch seems to have increased in size over the year, there is now pain etc in the area, since he is partially bald i could see it. whAT could it be, and how is it treated

Hi.
As per your case-history we need to ask certain questions to reach to diagnosis-
Whether there is any texture change in bald patch?
Is there only one such patch?
Is there any past history of similar patches and pain?
The probable diagnosis maybe alopecia aerata.

You can try a tacrolimus 0.03% ointment on that patch for 4-6 weeks.
If satisfactory results are not seen then consult a dermatologist.
