What Causes Grainy Texture On Lips?

hi, I have been experiencing this weird grainy like feeling on my lips. I kissed this guy on a Friday and I began experiencing this on Sunday. What could this be and how can get rid of it? At first I thought it was a reaction to a toothpaste I used on Saturday but I went to the doctor and he said it was nothing.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you may be having either physiological fordyce spots on lips which feels like grainy texture or just allergy to some products like lipstick - lip balm.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't worry. As per your complaint the problem isn't a big one.
2. Avoid using any new product like lipstick or toothpaste and avoid sun exposure.
3. Apply an antibiotic cream like metronidazole on affected part twice daily.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.
Thanks.
