What Causes Gout Flare Up In The Big Toe Despite Taking Advil?

Hi, I ve had a flare up of gout in my big toe. I went to the doctor and was prescribed some medication. I have also been taking Advil. This started about a week ago and I was wondering if walking or being active would make it worse or prolong it. The swelling is a little bit better but not completely gone.

Hello,

You can try applying the taping method with the help of a physiotherapist or can look for online too for the metatarsal and the metatarsophalangeal joint of the for. This will help reduce the strain and also improve the muscle performance by which the swelling will be reduced.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
