What Causes Gel Like Layer Around Eyeball While On Tobramycin For Orbital Floor Fracture?

Last tuesday i had surgery for an orbital floor fracture. I have been taking tobramycin ointment and prednisolone acetate drops. I go for my follow up visit tomorrow. My eye has been irritated today and when i looked in the mirror i noticed a layer of gel around my eyeball. I am concerned.

Hi and welcome to HCM,
Eye ointments usually have a paraffin base along with the antibiotic.
The oily layer is due to this base.
Pls do not worry, as this is normally seen after using an eye ointment.
