General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Taking NSAIDs like naproxen for long term can cause gastric ulcers. This is due to inhibition of prostaglandin which gives protection to gastric mucosa. If you had small ulcers before then naproxen can worsen it also. Gastroduodenoscopy should be done to find out the exact status. Proper treatment, diet and follow up under a gastroenterologist will be helpful to clear it.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
