HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Drowsiness would occur as a result of the illness itself and also because she is losing fluids from her body.

It is very important that these fluids are replaced , along with electrolytes. Dehydration is one of the more serious complications of vomiting and diarrhea.
Because she is vomiting, she would need to take small amounts at a time.

Hold off the milk and water. Using pedialyte or a sports drinks which would give her back both fluids and electrolytes would be best.
She should take only 1 tsp to 1 tbs every few minutes.

If this is tolerated after an hour, the amount should be increased. If these small amounts are not tolerated, she may need to have drips/iv fluids.

Using the medication prescribed may also help as well.

I hope this helps
