What Causes Frequent Urge To Urinate?

I am 34 year old male. I have the urge to urinate frequently 8-10 times a day and I notice the quantity I urinate is more than normal. Sometimes I have to urinate twice within one hour, and sometimes I feel there are drops stuck (after I urinate) that are released with body movement. I do not have any burning sensation or any pain while urinating. Also the color of urine is clear. I do not have diabetes. At workplace I have to go often to the toilet, at home (on weekends there is usually less urge to urinate). i also done Phimosis surgery one month later, Recently i take homeopathy medicine for piles. My Ultrasound (sonogharphy) & Urine report are Normal Frequent urge to urinate even if the bladder is empty It feels like urine coming out but actually not but still having the feeling At night while sleeping i never have this urge of urinating i mean i never get up from sleep to pee.only 1 time No pain or any difficulty while urinating or before or after urinating. Hi,

Urgent urination describes an overwhelming need to get to a restroom immediately. It may be accompanied by pain or discomfort in the bladder or urinary tract.

Urinary tract infections are the most common cause of frequent or urgent urination.

Other causes include: drinking too much liquid, drinking caffeinated or alcoholic beverages, diabetes, pregnancy, especially in the third trimester when there is pressure on the bladder medications, vaginal infections or prostate enlargement.

It’s possible that frequent or urgent urination could be normal for you if you don’t have other symptoms.

The treatment plan for frequent or urgent urination is largely dependent on the cause. Antibiotics can help treat infections.

Lifestyle changes such as monitoring liquid consumption and urine output or adjusting medications can help some people.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
