What Causes Frequent Hiccups In A Toddler?
Yesterday, my daughter (3 years old) took a hard candy and a minute after she started to chock. Few seconds later she started to cry for couple of minutes, so most likely she just swallowed the candy. Then she got back to normal, she was drinking water, had her dinner... she didn t complain of any pain or discomfort. Today I noticed that she has frequent hiccups, but I m not sure if this is related with the incident yesterday. Should I still be worried and visit her primary care doctor?

It is due to acid reflux and it is quite common among infants. You can do burping after every feeds and also try Ondansetron drops for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, better to consult a paediatrician and get evaluated.
