Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having heart flutters like my heart will beat 2 times regular then it will stop beating for a split second then start back up and it will keep doing it for awhile but then after about and hour or so it just quits and doesn't come back all day and i was wondering what was going on.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It may be an arrhythmia what you feel ,and to see exactly what is that and if it need treatment you may need to do an ECG and a 24 hour holter monitoring. A cardiac sonography may be needed to see the heart structures as well. These may be just Extrasystola ( premature atrial or ventricular beats) or episodes of atrial fibrilation.
Based on the examinations the doctor will say if you need any treatment or just a follow up.
All the best!
