Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements, Abdominal Cramps And Excessive Sweating?
Symptoms I have are urgent bowel movements. Most times I don t have 5 minutes and I have to go. Abdominal cramping is first symptom. It is severe- it doubles me over. I start to sweat... It is usually loose. It does alternate with ...maybe once a week- several small pieces of stool- Like 40-50. When that happens, some of them float. I know-- gross. I am afraid to go for a walk unless I have had a BM. I am 51 and very healthy otherwise. An aunt had colon cancer. I had a colonoscopy almost ten years ago when I was worked up for my gallbladder. The doctor could not get past my hepatic flexure though. I m wondering irritable bowel? It is getting to be that I am constantly worrying when the urge to go will hit me. It is so inconvenient. :( What do you think it could be? Thanks for taking my question. Jacky
As per my surgical experience, sudden urge for bowel movements with cramps and sweating indicate underlying intestine infection through some sort of bug most likely.
My guideline at present
- drink more liquids and maintain hydration - prefer to consume bland, vegan diet - avoid all spices, non-veg, junk foods - avoid stress, anxiety - have regular sound sleep - prescription of antibiotic with metronidazole or else and probiotics with lactobacillus from your GP.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
