Hello Doctor, I sadly had a surgical abortion sevendays ago. I had a placenta tear at 9 weeks and bled heavily for 14 days. They said my cervix was open and I was actively miscarrying. For safety due to blood loss and blood pressure, a surgical abortion was completed. I now have a very foul vaginal discharge, brown in color and watery. This requires the use of maxi pad. No temp, no pain yet extremely foul. I called the office and the nurse said this was normal. My question is, is this indeed typical, and if so how long will it last? I was concerned about infection.
