What Causes Foul Smelling Gas, Post Liver And Gall Bladder Cleanse?

I did a colon cleanse, then a liver and gall bladder cleanse about 2 months ago. Since then I have been pretty much on fruits and veggies and RAW protein powder. I drink some organic milk but not every day. I eat only gluten free. I do eat sweets sometimes but not every day. Why would I have such stinky gas a great deal of the time? Before the abovemetioned I almost NEVER had gas.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

With your diet gas of this specific type is quite normal. The human digestive system has developed for us being omnivores. To eat healthy is perfectly fine, but it must not become too extreme. I strongly recommend that you return to a healthy but normal diet (vegetarian if you want). Fruits, vegetables and protein powder only are unsuitable as a standard diet. To help your intestine to return to a normal function you can also eat natural yoghurt with your meals and take pro-biotics for 10 days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
