What Causes Fluttering Sensation In The Hands?

I have a history of PE, pericarditis and pleurisy. For the last two days I have been feeling like my heart is fluttering, my hands shake and today it s even worse. I have lupus also and I am on Coumadin. I am afraid to go to the hospital but part of me says go. What should I do?

Hi,

Definitely consult your cardiologist before the problem gets worse. There are chances that you might have developed pericardial effusion again and if rapid, then it can lead to pericardial tamponade, which can lead to sudden shutting of your heart which is pumping blood. You might need an echocardiography to confirm. So consult your cardiologist for further assistance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
