What Causes Fluttering Sensation In The Chest?

I have been experiencing a fluttering in the middle of my chest since 5:30am which seems to be increasing. It is beginning to be painful at this point. Not sure if it is heart palpitations or something else. It is in the middle of my sternum area more towards my right breast

Hi There

after Going through your query I understand your concern.

I would like to tell you that feeling of pounding heart , fluttering or palpitations that can occur any time can be due to heart disease, stress, illness, Caffine etc. and needs to be evaluated to exclude the risk of life threatening disorder.

Kindly get an ECG and echocardiography done and consult with a Cardiologist for further management.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards
Dr. Navneet Bansal
