Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is 9 and has had 4 sets of ear tubes. After every set he would again get ear infections and hearing loss from the fluid. The last ones were the T-type, and the left one came out after just 8 months. He had -210 left ear pressure in December and the doctor said to have him yawn/pop a lot. Now (March) his pressure is -290 with an infection, and the doctor gave us ear drops and said have him yawn more. He said he can put in another set of tubes if that doesn t work, but I d rather fix whatever is causing the constant fluid. Would you suggest tubes or something else?

What Causes Fluid Build Up In The Ears?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. You can take Cefadroxil, Omeprazole and Serratiopeptidase and Aceclofenac combination. Place cotton wool swabs on the opening of the ears. Don t sit close to the cooler and AC. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
