I m a 70 yr old male w/ type 2. Was on humilin 70/30 20 to 25U twice a day. Average A1c around 72. Changed Dr s recently, new Doc changed me to Novolin. Took first dose yesterday , a normal dinner and treated myself to one beer. By 11PM felt low, checked glucose and found my level @ 33, a all time low. Probably over did recovery intake went to bed @ 1AM. Woke, check glucose was now 310. Took 20U, ate a lite breakfast, ate lunch and two hrs. later it was 100 and dropping. Is this a common effect?
