Hi am in my early pregnancy... Had a high fever for 8 days continuously around 102 to 104F especially towards evening. Doctors tested me for various infections which all turned out to be normal. Widal was negative but blood culture showed salmonella typhi...so was put on some mild anti typhoid medications..now the temperature is under control but my LFT shows high high sgot n sgpt I.e 75 and 91 respectively.. Has it got anything to do with typhoid or the medications am on... Does it affect my baby in anyway?

Hello,

Don't worry but you have to get treated early for typhoid fever otherwise there will be chances of vertical transmission of fever to the fetus.

Yes, you may follow up with repeated scans and blood examine with fetus growth estimation.

Don't worry if you take antibiotics in right time nothing will happen. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
