What Causes Fever Along With Vomiting And Diarrhea?

my granson just had a very high fever, was throwing up and had diarea. we had taken him to the emergency room. the drs said to give him childrens tylenol and motrin(oral). Its been 5 days and now he has what looks like mild rash all over his body that looks like pics I see of measles or mumps. That just started this afternoon. Hes one year old. I plan on seeing the dr tommorrow.

1)chicken pox
2)measles
3)small pox
4)meningococcemia
5)impetigo
