Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
As per your complain feeling of lump in throat along with burning in throat and also heartburn, choking and coughing points towards Gastro-esophageal reflux disease commonly known as
Acid reflux in which due to weakening of the lower oesophageal sphincter[band of muscles at the lower portion of food pipe] leads to reflux of acid from stomach to food pipe, throat and at times mouth leading to chemical injury causing inflammation which leads to burning and swelling..
You should consult a Gatro-enterologist and get evaluated and along with clinical evaluation he can advise you to get an endoscopy done to confirm the diagnosis..
Once the diagnosis is confirmed he can advise you to take
Proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole or
Pantoprazole, H2 blockers like Ranitidine, Famotidine, antacids to be taken before meal like
calcium carbonate or
milk of magnesia, plenty of cool water, take small frequent meals, avoid spicy and acidic foods, sleep with head slightly elevated as compared to feet and recline in left lateral position..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
