Hello,

You are suffering from fatigue, weight loss and stress. You are 60 yrs of age. Your symptoms may be indicative of thyroid problem, undiagnosed illness like diabetes, chronic illness that has not been treated, etc. Fatigue that you are feeling may be due to not being able to make meals for yourself or being unable to walk to the fridge. Skipping meals or forgetting to take meals in time is a common reason for weakness in the elderly.

Loss of appetite or lower intake can cause loss of weight. Commonly gastrointestinal system slows down with aging. You are suggested to avoid sedentary lifestyle and do a little walking everyday. Take health drinks for energy. Do not skip meals. Take digestives and liver tonic to help gain your appetite. Take berries, boiled fruits, nuts and dry fruits. You can take supplements too. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get a complete medical check up done to detect any undiagnosed chronic illness that needs to get treated.

Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
