What Causes Fatigue In The Evenings?

Hello and thank you for taking my question. As the days have grown shorter I have noticed that as the sun goes down I get very tired and hazy feeling no matter how much sleep I have had the night before. As a rule I do not have trouble sleeping. I am an early riser and go to bed early also. I am 63 years old. Why am I seeming to run out of gas as the sun goes down? Why don t I notice it in the summer?

hi sir/mam,such symptoms are not that uncommon and can occur in variety of disorders like:
1)chronic fatigue syndrome
2)thyroid diseases especially hypothyroidism.
3)chronic anemia
4)after recovery from chronic illness like infectious mononucleosis due to EBV(ebstein barr virus),CMV(cytomegalovirus).
5)psychiatric illnessses
6)connective tissue disorders
7)Addison’s disease.
it’s important to determine if the causative factor is organic illness or subjective feeling.you can discuss the above possibilities with your physician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
hope my explanation is satisfactory.any other issues, please let me know.i’ll be happy to help you.thank you.take care.bye.
