What Causes Fatigue And Dizziness While Suffering From Hypothyroidism?

I m 62 white male and have been diagnosed with Hypothroidism in the last 2 yrs. Recently started having symptoms of fatigue, dizziness, nausea and heart fluttering. I am wearing a heart monitor for 30 days. I m not overweight, never smoked and don t have high blood pressure. Any thought about the thyroid effect with the heart flutterings?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
You should have also written about the dose of the medicine that you have been taking for hypothyroid but I presume that you are on a hypothyroid medicine.
So far as your heart fluttering along with other are concerned,I'll suggest get a Thyroid Function Test done.
Most probably the dose of your medicine will have to be reduced.
If someone has been taking hypothyroid medicine for a longer period of time, sometimes you go to hyper from hypo so the dose has to be adjusted.
I hope this answers your question.
You can ask a followup question if there is any confusion.
Thanks,
Dr.Prabhas Verma
