My friend has had episodes of almost losing consciousness, pressure in her head, rapid heartbeat, and with the latest episode plugging of her ear canal. These last around two minutes, but with deep inhalation, these symptoms dissipate within a few minutes. An MRI, MRA, Carotid Doppler are all negative of any obvious symptoms. EKG is also normal. Has had previous heart stents (2) in right coronary artery. Some of these spells are far apart (three weeks) and several were two days on a row. First episode was in May and still on going. Is waiting to take her second MRA for any significant changes, but not really hoping for any. She finds the latest interesting as it was accompanied by pressure and temporary loss of hearing in left ear. This disappeared shortly after with holding nose and blowing. Any insights to this frightening and perplexing problem? I cannot upload any images as they are unavailable to me.
