What Causes Extreme Skin Sensitivity In The Cheeks?

I am having extreme skin sensitivity in the hallows of my cheeks. I am unsure what the cause is. I have recently tried to quit birth control pills, but decided to restart them again. I had cystic acne before I took the pill and it seems to have come back in rare form. This is not like the acne I had before. I have used hydrocortisone creme for one cystic pimple in particular and I am unsure whether this may have caused and allergic reaction. I have never felt this itchy or dry on my face ever. Regardless of how much moisturizer or vitamin E oil I use, it simply feels like it is getting worse. Help, I just do not know what to do anymore.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
