Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in both of my wrists, the right being the worst. I have been to my family doctor. He thought that it might be arthritis and gave me a prescription. After about 6 months I informed him that the RX was not working. He then referred me to an Orthopedic Doctor. He said that it wasn t carpal tunnel and is referring me to occupational therapy. Any idea what the problem with my wrists might be? At times I find it difficult to tear paper or pick something up.
Wrist pain is often caused by sprains or fractures from sudden injuries. But wrist pain can also result from long-term problems, such as repetitive stress, arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
