Hello Doctor. I am Ashutosh from Kolkata, India. I am 43 and in weighing 70 Kg height 5 ft 7.5in. Fit n do exercise 5 days a week for atleast 15 min. I am having asthma allergy and take salmeterol inhaler 250 mg, once in two days. When I am in my first sleep at night( as usually I go to bed around 10.30 pm.) I get tremendous pain in muscles in both legs n feel cramping till I wake up. After that my pain reduces and I sleep again after 10-15 minutes. Sometimes I have to take pain killer ( may be once in two months). Its an ongoing process for last 3 years. Please do tell me whats the problem and can there be any remedy. Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I have read the complaints and I feel that the problem is due to electrolyte imbalance or vitamin D Deficiency.

I suggest regular supplements of Vitamin d and adequate hydration before going to bed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
