What Causes Excessive Weight Loss While Suffering From Stomach Obstruction?
My father had a medical procedure done for a bile obstruction.He was hospitalized for several days. Then he was sent home. I think that my dad picked up a superbug during his stay at the hospital.He had frequent bile movements in bed and my mom washed the linen without gloves or nose protection. Then they both started losing weight uncontrollably. My mom is down to 100 lbs. What type of doctor should I take them to? How does one get cured from parasite infection?

They both need to do a stool culture and parasitic infection stools analysis. Most probably is a bacterial infection rather than parasitic. The cure is by antibiotics.
