What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge During Pregnancy?
Last night I was brushing my teeth after just expelling my bladder 10 mn prior. I had a sudden warm gush of fluid. It soaked my underwear but it wasn t like a water break. I m also 33.5 weeks pregnant. I changed my panties 2 times in 30 mn because they were wet. I then layed down to make sure I wasn t contracting. I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and my panties were lightly wet. I took a shower dried my hair and changed my panties 3 times in 15 mn. I called the birthing center and was seen. They tested my cervix for signs of amniotic fluid and it was negative. Slight contractions but no dilution. My amniotic fluid was at an 8. Any ideas?
Hello, Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern
Since you have been tested and amniotic fluid levels are ok, there is nothing to be worried about. Increased secretions is common during pregnancy. If needed, you can just wear a panty liner. If the increased secretions persists, please be advised to get tested for bacterial vaginosis as this can cause increased secretions (usually with fishy odor). A simple vaginal swab microscopy can rule out bacterial vaginosis.
