What Causes Excessive Thirst In The Night?

I get hot hands every night and wake-up really thirsty and feeling dehydrated it has been going on for over 4 yrs. I am 43 and have been trying for a baby and think this might be effecting it. My eye sight has deteriorated and I need to drink a lot throughout the day. Originally it started in my feet but now it s my hands. My Grandma had the same but only in her feet. I noticed that if I drink alcohol it doesn t happen as much...my accupunturiist thinks it might be vascular. One consultant for fertility said during pregnancy I should take aspirin. I have had nerve checks in my hands but think it might be related to blood circulation and vascular? Any suggestions for tests to request?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possibilities like diabetes insipidus.

Make sure that your blood sugar is in the normal range as uncontrolled diabetes can cause similar symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
