What Causes Excessive Sweating On The Head Along With Sore Throat?

Hi doc i need help. Im a woman 77 years old. I have cough for 2 weeks nonstop ( i feel the plegm attached on my chest is not going out ) , sensitive throat ( sometimes it hurts when i swallow) , i feel a little sufficate on the throat. , i have excessive sweat on the head (especially at night) although i have ac in my room. What should i do? What do i have? What cause it?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have excessive sweating on the head along with sore throat . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like heat exhaustion , panic attack , low blood sugar or iron and food poisoning . Sometimes it can also occur due to viral infection or cardiac condition like transient ischemic attack . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor my check vital , order blood test , take history and order ECG . Doctor may refer you to ENT specialist for sore throat or cardiologist if he/she find problem to be related with heart disease . For now take proper rest , do not exert yourself , drink plenty of water , avoid food like sea food and nuts , do not bend forward and take benadryl twice a day .
