What Causes Excessive Secretion Of Saliva During The Menstrual Cycle?

hello, i have my period and i just had to run to the sink because there was a lot of saliva coming out and i couldnt just keep swallowing it and each second it kept getting salter or a different taste which made me sick and disgusted and had the same feeling of vomitting. What does it mean and why does it happen??

Hello,

I don't believe the excess of saliva secretion is directly related to menstrual cycle. The nausea and vomiting feeling may cause excess production of saliva before someone vomits. Also a problem with salivary glands may cause the excess production of saliva. In this case you may need to talk to a maxillofacial surgeon.
