welcome to HCM..
Mucus is something which help in cleaning the respiratory system.
you need to mention duration of your problems
!color of the mucus
!!quantity of mucus
!!!is it associated with cough?nose block?head aches? fever? shortness of breath?throat pain?sensation of that piece of food still in throat?

1)consult your doctor if you are having shortness of breath or fever or symptoms are not subsiding.

2)quit smoking. Use ambroxol syrup three times daily 10 ml and drink plenty of water. practice breathing exercises.
