What Causes Excessive Mucus In Throat And Low Grade Fever?

I am experiencing excessive mucus going down the left side of my throat triggering violent coughing. The coughing has caused vomiting which has a lot of phlegm and now a pins and needles sensation in my back. It happens randomly. I have been using a nasal spay, antihistamine, a cough med. Nothing seems to help. Today I have a low grade fever 99.5. And there is sometimes pain in the chest when coughing. All mucus is clear.

Hello. This sounds like a sinus infection with postnatal drip. Have your doctor check it out since you'll probably need a course of antibiotics.
