What Causes Excessive Belching And Burping?

The symptoms are belching a lot, even during sleep and some burping a few times during the day and night. Occurs even hours before and after eating. Male, 61, has stomach upset in the morning sometimes and takes an antacid. Sometimes accompanied by nausea. Has vomited on one occasion and come close on a few other occasions. This has been going on for about a year.

Hi,

It is due to gastrointestinal disorders like gastritis, inflammatory bowel disease.

You need to have some diet changes like taking light meals, avoiding foods causing gas, reduce intake of carbonated drinks and coffee.

You are also advised to report emergency room for proper evaluation to rule out the possibility of any underlying disease like neoplastic growth.
