What Causes Excess Urination With Burning Sensation?

Hello dr my brother is 25 years old. suddenly hestarted getting frequent urination every half an hour and burning sensation is also there..he has been prescribed medicine for enlarged prostate and symptoms seem to aggrevate after taking medicine.he was tested for diabetes and his blood test seems to be normal. Sometimes burning sensation is not there but frequent urination is there.what could be the issue?

Dear- thanks for using our service. I read the question in detail and will tell you that urinary frequency can be secondary to prostatitis or benign prostatic enlargement but other possibility like problems in bladder contraction and expansion can create same symptoms. The burning can be related to urethral irritation or infection. It is advisable to get an urine sample for culture and sensitivity. If negative, you will need a cistoscopy to evaluate the bladder and the urinary system.
