What Causes Excess Secretion From The Gums And Dry Mouth?

I am having excess secretions from my gums behind my teeth that feels gel-like. This substance dissolves when I rinse my mouth with warm water. I have seen a dentist, periodontist, ENT doctor, and my internist, but the explanation is dry mouth. Nothing seems to help, and it is a very annoying problem. Can you help???

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like the thick discharge can be pus if the gums are infection..
In case if you are being diagnosed with dry mouth then there is a possibility that the watery content of saliva is reduced leading to thick mucous like saliva..

So my suggestion is to once get a thorough scaling done and do gum paint massage to reduce infection..

You should also manage the dry mouth as you are already diagnosed with it..
You can start chewing sugarfree chewing gum, suck lemon drops and gargle with specialised mouthwash like Biotene..
Drink plenty of water..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
