What Causes Episodes Of Sweats And Nausea With Fluid Around Uterus Post C Section?

Hi I m 2 months postpartum , I m 20 years old ,I had a csection with my daughter my first child and I have been having pain and woke up with sweats and nausea , I also found out a few weeks ago at the emergency room I have fluid around my uterus can you tell me why I am having these issues please I m very concerned about my health and I go back to my ob for visit in the morning, thanks for any help Elizabeth

Hello,

The periods of sweats and nausea with fluid around uterus post C section indicates pelvic infection or inflammation most likely. My guidelines for better recovery:
- Drink more liquids to maintain hydration
- Keep best care of vaginal hygiene with antiseptic soap or liquid
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears
- Avoid tight under garments
- Avoid sexual intercourse if active
- Control of blood sugar
- Prescription of antibiotics such as proton pump inhibitor Omeprazole with sips of water on empty stomach, antibiotic as penicillin or cephalosporin, anti fungal as fluconazole on prophylaxis basis
- Discuss need of lab tests as complete hemogram, ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis with your OBGYN tomorrow
