Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My hear will randomly beat really hard once and then it will stop for a few seconds. I don't know why it's happening. I don't take drugs, I don't drink alcohol or energy drinks. I don't really sleep that well, but I don't know if that could be a reason..I'm just a little scared. It's been going on for a few days now.
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that rapid heart rate can be common because of anemia, dehydration, anxiety, stress, hormonal imbalances or other heart abnormality.
Your symptoms look like anxiety and are advisable for you to take anxiolytics to relieve your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
