What Causes Enlarged Lump At The Side Of The Throat?
I am concerned of the lump that has been at the side of my throat for a month and a half.. A month ago I went to the doctors and she ran blood work and everything came back negative. She still wasn t happy and sent me for a ultrasound where I recieved the results today. They said my lymph nodes are enlarged due to an infection but I haven t had one in a year. Cancer runs in my family and thyroid conditions, and the doctor said he doesn t think its cancer but that could explain why they are enlarged. I am 15 years old and terrified.. Any options on what this could be??

Lymph node enlargement could be due to infection. As you have family history of cancer and thyroid disorders, i suggest you to consult physician and general surgeon. Cancer can be ruled out by FNAC test or biopsy, then your doubt will be cleared. Don't be anxious, consult doctor as soon as possible and disease will be cured.
