What Causes Elevation In The Pulse Rate After Placing Pacemaker?

I am showing a high pulse rate at night and when I get up. I had a pace maker defibulator put in 4 weeks ago. When I told surgeon she said we worry too much. I am 70 yrs old but still alive. I am showing a pulse rate of around 120 . I think this is something to worry about . Do you?

I really appreciate your concern, as long as the high pules rate is concern it need to be tested with EKG and it is the way to find out the cause of this but most of the time it may not be due to any pathology, if you are going to read it on your own then your consciousness will play the role behind it, in absence of any symptoms it is just nothing to worry hope this information helps.
